Born and raised in rural Kelowna, Roz has loved being active from day one. Rooting herself in the outdoors was a prime landscape for running, biking , snowboarding, hiking, camping and of course, basketball. Roz found yoga 5 years ago in the midst of her varsity basketball career with the UBC Okanagan Heat as an outlet from university courses and the physical demands of training on and off the court year round. After her first class at Moksha Yoga Kelowna, she knew this studio and community were something more special than she could ever imagine. With the completion of her Level 1 Moksha/Modo Yoga Teacher Training in Kelowna this past summer, Roz is over-the-moon excited to share her energy with you in the hot room. She is committed to spreading more love and knowledge of the physical practice of yoga to connect you to a deeper awareness of your body and let that ripple out into a more fulfilled life. She knows that by inspiring others to live the fullest expression of themselves on and off the mat, it brightens the lives of everyone you come into contact with. Don’t be afraid to dive in for a hug after class, sweaty hugs are her specialty!
Roz also continues to let her passion for fitness thrive as a trainer at New Wave Fitness (a Moksha VIP community partner!) and UBC Okanagan Health Fitness Facility. She is fuelled by the friends and family she’s surrounded by, the communities she’s a part of and as much as she is on-the-go, you could just as easily find Roz in a yin yoga class followed by a glass of red wine and dark chocolate!
