With Faith Comes Courage

Two of the foundational pillars of a consistent yoga practice are shraddha – meaning faith, and virya – meaning courage. The only way these can be established is though steady, consistent personal practice. Nicki will teach an engaged asana class that includes standing poses, hip openers, pranayama, backbends and twists. The second half of the class will be more reflective in nature and slower. Restorative and supported poses will take you from the active side of the practice into the calming and quieting side of yoga. Courage is having the strength to listen and speak from the heart, these softer poses will give you the opportunity to get in touch with what your feeling on the inside.

Embracing the Unknown, Backward Bending Postures

Some of the most important and effective yoga poses are the ones that extend the spine and bring freedom to the back. This class will end with twisting poses to relieve the spine and a deep restful savasana to re-align your body and mind.
